Awards of Appreciation given

The Gage County Sheriff's office and County Attorney's office were honored during Wednesday's county board meeting.

Both departments were given Awards of Appreciation on behalf of the Wymore Volunteer Fire & Rescue Department.

The awards were given in honor of work the departments did during a fire on Nov. 5, 2007, when Wymore volunteer firefighter Jeremy Wach was killed while fighting a house fire in Wymore.

Sheriff Millard Gustafson and County Attorney Randy Ritnour accepted the awards.
